Top Ten Reasons to Avoid SLS

There are a lot of rumors out there about Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate. Is it really a carcinogen like those e-mails say? What about an endocrine disruptor and skin irritant? What's truth and what's hogwash? I've written this article to clear up the confusion about the debated chemical. I don't need to spread lies...the truth is scary enough. "Organic" Labeling Lies

I recently spoke with a chemist who works in the cosmetics industry. (I'll keep him anonymous so I don't put his job in danger.) I had asked him about a certain ingredient listed on a bottle of conditioner I had seen. At the time I was developing my conditioner formula and was searching for a natural emulsifier.
